Family and Community Engagement Coordinator

Job Description

 

The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator works to bridge the gap between home and school by helping parents get the information and support they need to ensure their child's academic and social success

Reports to/Supervised by: Federal Programs Director

Job Goals: To be a visible, reliable approachable resource for parents to encourage and maintain genuine relationships between the home and school of all West Bolivar Consolidated School District schools.

Professional Development

The Family and Community Engagement Coordinator is REQUIRED to attend monthly meetings. Each meeting will provide opportunities for:

Qualifications:

  1. Must be the parent of a current student or former student in the West Bolivar Consolidated School District.
  2. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
  3. Holds a valid driver's license.
  4. Relates well to people of all ethnic groups
  5. Demonstrates strong organizational skills
  6. Is trustworthy and dependable

Terms of Employment: As determined by the West Bolivar Consolidated School District, with wages and work year to be according to the current salary schedule.

 

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation procedures for classified employees of the West Bolivar Consolidated School District.
